Free Rides for Seniors

Senior Van Service

Volunteer drivers operate a community-wide senior transportation service available to West Chester seniors. The service provides transportation to doctor's appointments, the grocery store and pharmacy, and for recreational and social gatherings.

Service is available to West Chester residents age 60 and older, or adults under 60 may call to determine eligibility.  

Senior Van Client Packet

Senior Van services are available by appointment 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. There is no service in winter on days when the Lakota Local School District cancels or delays classes due to inclement weather.

The Senior Van Service is a lifeline to otherwise home-bound residents of the community and is a rewarding volunteer opportunity.  Volunteers are asked to commit 5 to 6 hours per week.
