The best memories can be made in a park. West Chester Township welcomes guests and asks that you help take care of our parks so they can be enjoyed by the entire community for many years to come.

Rules at our parks are enforced by West Chester Township Police Department and if you see something, please say something. In an emergency, dial 9-1-1. Otherwise, call 513-777-2231 to report.

These rules apply to West Chester Township parks including: Beckett Park, Keehner Park, The Square @ Union Centre, The Port Union Historic Canal Trail and Mill Creek Conservation Corridor. 

*Additional rules apply to use of The Muhlhauser Barn.

• Alcoholic beverages are absolutely prohibited in our parks. Alcohol may be permitted under approved State Liquor Permit with permission from West Chester Township for a qualifying event.
• Park hours are dawn to dusk.
• Please put all trash in the proper receptacles; and only the trash you generate while in the park.
• Dumping is prohibited and is a violation of Ohio Revised Code. Our trash cans and recycling areas are not receptacles for your household of business trash disposal. Please see signage at recycling areas for accepted items.
• No signs shall be placed on Township property, including parks without prior approval. Call 513-777-5900.
• Parking is permitted only in designated areas. Motorized vehicles (of any kind) are permitted only on hard-surface parking areas.
• Vandalism and destruction of park property will be investigated and prosecuted.
• Fires are restricted to grills, fire circles and fireplaces. A West Chester Township permit is required for use of fire circles and fireplace. The permitting process is part of booking shelter reservations online. Shelter rental fees apply. 
• Pets must be on a leash and under control at all times for the safety of all involved. There is an off-leash dog park (Wiggly Field) at the Voice of America Park. Please pick up after your pets.
• Funds must not be solicited or admission charged for any activity or use of the public facility without prior approval from West Chester Township. Our residents have already paid for the opportunity to play at our parks.
• West Chester Township makes no warranties as to the fitness of its facilities for a particular purpose
• West Chester Township assumes no responsibility for damage or loss of any persons or property. Please don't leave valuables in your vehicle and please lock car doors.
• Excessive noise is prohibited. If your music is loud enough for someone else in the park to hear, it's too loud. Amplification of sound is not permitted without prior approval through a community event permit.
• No tents or canopies permitted without prior approval for a community event permit from West Chester Township. Picnic shelters are available to rent and provide adequate shelter/shade for designated uses.
• The use of inflatable amusements, horse and carriages, petting zoos and/or other amusements are not permitted.
• Park ponds are not stocked by man, but by nature.  Catch and release fishing is permitted.

Some Activities NOT Permitted (not inclusive):

Camping, takeoff or landing of hot air balloons, hunting, hitting golf balls, paintball and/or air soft gun play, skateboarding, operation of gas-powered remote control models, automotive repair or the storing of vehicles
