Fire Lieutenant earns Butler County Technical Rescue promotion

Fire Lieutenant Trevor Frodge will further demonstrate and share his knowledge and expertise with colleagues of a local special response team.

WCFD_TrevorFrodge_webPlease join the West Chester Fire Department in congratulating Lt. Frodge on his promotion to Rescue Team Manager of Training for Butler County Technical Rescue.

“Lt. Frodge is tasked with the development and oversight of a comprehensive education and training program for a 65-member special operations team that covers a population of over 385,000,” said Asst. Fire Chief Randall Hanifen.

“He also responds and helps manage incidents in which the Butler County Technical Rescue Team is requested.”

Lt. Frodge began his career with West Chester Fire & EMS as a firefighter/paramedic in 2008 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2019. He has also served with Ohio Task Force 1 on special emergency deployments to areas across the country.

The Butler County Technical Rescue Team is comprised of skilled personnel from qualified first responder agencies, including fire, police and other departments who serve as an asset to the mission of the Technical Rescue Team. Members are specially trained in Building Collapse, Confined Space, Flood, High Angle Rope, Trench and Swift Water rescue.

Butler County Technical Rescue is an effort of the Butler County Emergency Management Agency and Butler County Technical Rescue Governing Board and operates under the tenants the Technical Rescue Governing Board and the Butler County Technical Rescue Administrative & Operational Polices.
