Nature Programs for Children

West Chester offers a few programs for children and families that focus on nature and our parks. These programs are free, but registration is required.

MetroParks of Butler County, West Chester's partner in park programming and facilities also offers special events and nature programming countywide and at the Voice of America Park in West Chester.

To register for in person programs, call (513) 759-7303 or email Laura Groff, and and give names of children attending and adult name & contact number or email. There is no charge associated with township programming. Rain does not cancel.

Nature Basket programs are suited for preschool children, ages 3-5, and their adult companions. All programs include a story, a talk about seasonal nature and a craft. Adult help with the craft is required.

Schedule & Location Update

Nature Basket programs move inside to the MidPointe Library in West Chester, 9363 Centre Pointe Drive, for the winter months. Winter programs meet on Thursday mornings starting in December 2022 through April 2023.
