The Northern Cincinnati Foundation's Shamrock Shuffle will include a special commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks (9/11) this year.
About 5,000 runners and walkers are expected to turn out for the 5K race and community block party Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 on The Square @ Union Centre, 9285 Centre Pointe Drive.
Some morning road closures in the area of Union Centre Boulevard will be necessary on the day of this event for the safety of all participants. Signage will be posted and access will be maintained to businesses with Saturday morning operations, but leave extra time for travel in this area.
Road closures will include...
West Chester Road between Union Centre Boulevard & AK Steel access drive;
Lakota West Drive between Eagle Ridge roundabout & Union Centre Boulevard;
Union Centre Boulevard between West Chester Road & Beckett Road;
Beckett Road between Union Centre Boulevard & Beckett Ridge Boulevard (one lane will remain open from The Preserves neighborhood entrance to Beckett Ridge Blvd. to accommodate residents)
