The Shamrock Shuffle: Half-way to St. Patty's Day

The Northern Cincinnati Foundation's Shamrock Shuffle will include a special commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks (9/11) this year. 

About 5,000 runners and walkers are expected to turn out for the 5K race and community block party Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 on The Square @ Union Centre, 9285 Centre Pointe Drive. 

REGISTRATION

Road Closures 

Some morning road closures in the area of Union Centre Boulevard will be necessary on the day of this event for the safety of all participants. Signage will be posted and access will be maintained to businesses with Saturday morning operations, but leave extra time for travel in this area.

Road closures will include...

  • West Chester Road between Union Centre Boulevard & AK Steel access drive;
  • Lakota West Drive between Eagle Ridge roundabout & Union Centre Boulevard;
  • Union Centre Boulevard between West Chester Road & Beckett Road;
  • Beckett Road between Union Centre Boulevard & Beckett Ridge Boulevard (one lane will remain open from The Preserves neighborhood entrance to Beckett Ridge Blvd. to accommodate residents)

One-hundred percent of annual proceeds from this event – more than $100,000 each year – benefit local nonprofits through grants from the Northern Cincinnati Foundation's Community Grants Fund, as well as the many charity teams registered through the Shuffle Gives Back program.

The mission of the Northern Cincinnati Foundation (formerly the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty) is to transform generosity into impact by encouraging, supporting and facilitating philanthropy to create a more vibrant community. Since 1999, more than $18 million has been granted to local nonprofit organizations and to causes important to donors.
