West Chester Township residents will not be responsible for out-of-pocket costs associated with EMS service provide by the West Chester Fire Department. Transport and material costs for your care will be billed to your private insurance provider, but residents will not have any further charge. Non-residents will receive a bill for the remaining balance due after insurance. West Chester residents may receive a statement from a third-party billing company, Change Healthcare, but this is not a bill and DOES NOT require payment.

Very few open burn fires meet the requirements of the EPA. Open burning is permitted as a recreational fire (cooking, warmth, looks, etc.). These fires are permitted as long as the fire remains no larger than 2 ft. x 3 ft. high and CLEAN, SEASONED FIREWOOD is being used.  You are NOT permitted to use this fire to burn yard waste or garbage.  If the West Chester Fire Department receives a complaint on any type of open burn, you will be required to extinguish the fire.  For further information watch this brief video, or contact West Chester Fire Department at (513) 777-1133 or Captain Scott Brooks.

If you find a fire hydrant that is leaking or damaged, contact the West Chester Fire Department at (513) 777-1133.  Repairs may be made by the West Chester Fire Department or the Butler County Water Department.
