Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

West Chester Fire & Rescue is our community's front line of health care.

The West Chester Fire Department operates six medic units - two on reserve status and four in service 24/7 - with at least one paramedic on each squad.

The squads are equipped with the most up-to-date cardiac monitors and the ability to perform 12 Lead EKGs and transmit the information directly to the hospital prior to patient arrival.

West Chester EMS responds to more than 4,000 calls for medical emergencies, automobile accidents, fires, and HAZMAT incidents every year

The West Chester Fire Department continues to meet federal, state, and local requirements for training and medical protocols, and continues their 40-plus year tradition of care and commitment.
