West Chester's Community Development Department provides one-stop support for residents and businesses with questions related to zoning, permitting, property uses, maintenance code enforcement and economic development.

Community Development Property Advisors and economic development professionals are available to support businesses and residents through the building and expansion process and offer solutions to property issues.

In 2016, West Chester experienced $94.7 million in new capital investment involving nearly 1.9 million square feet of commercial/industrial property. More than 850 new jobs were created in West Chester and nearly 1,300 were retained as a result of expansion opportunities for existing businesses.
