It is a lean and fiscally sound government known for exceptional services provided to a vibrant community.
The Township Administrator is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Board of Trustees. The Township Administrator is responsible for the implementation and administration of the policies and resolutions of the Board, managing and directing the daily operations of all Township departments and divisions, and ensuring the overall efficiency and effectiveness of all Township functions and activities.
The Township Administrator oversees 10 direct staff including the Fire Chief, Police Chief, Finance Director, Communications and IT Operations Manager, Community Services Director, Integrated Multimedia and Marketing Director, Human Resources Manager, Community Development Director, Executive Assistant, and Management Analyst.
The minimum qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or a closely related field and considerable experience in township, county, or municipal government. Preferred qualifications include a graduate degree in Public Administration or a closely related field and experience with and knowledge of Ohio townships, experience working with TIFs, and skills in land use planning and zoning. Also preferred is experience working in a larger, full service community. Residency is required within one year of appointment.
The expected hiring range is $125,000 – $150,000, depending on qualifications, with an excellent benefit package.
